Grace Worship Center

Grace Worship Center is situated in Musese Village. The mission of the church is to reach out to communities for Christ.
Besides fulfilling its key mandate of spreading the gospel, the church is also keen on transforming the lives of the people in Musese through various social projects in order to help them meet some of their basic needs. These social projects have been made possible through the financial support of well-wishers.

Water

Clean water is vital for a healthy life. Many of the residents of Musese village particularly women and children often have to walk long distances to access water that is safe for cooking and drinking. With support from Lititz United Methodist Church and the Brownstone United Methodist Church

Medical clinic

The idea of setting up a clinic was born out of the medical camp week that has been held annually since 2007 during the annual mission trips. During the camp, the sick receive treatment from professional volunteer doctors from USA assisted by local clinical officers/nurses. Over 1000 people receive treatment not only for general diseases but also for optical and dental care that is often lacking at the local government funded clinic. In 2008 for instance, 96 people received spectacles free of charge.

Testimonials

I can only thank God for this ministry, which shows His heart for His people. If I had not had the opportunity to initially visit these ladies in their homes, I don’t believe I would have felt the same passion for reaching out to them

Our group (including my mother in law, myself, Janna—a friend from our church in the USA, and Rose—a faithful member of Grace Musese Church, and our wonderful drivers—my husband one day, and Simon the next day) dedicated two full days to visiting our soon-to-be new friends

After deliberation, we brought along for each widow a small bag of rice, some tea bags, and sugar, which would be helpful to be able to serve chai when family or friends visited during Christmas. We also brought some money, as well as some small gifts for the widows’ children and grandchildren.
